STRATEGIC ADVISING FOR MISSION-DRIVEN ORGANIZATIONS NAVIGATING GROWTH, TRANSITION, AND COMPLEXITY

Your organization is growing.

Is it still dependent on one person?

Lancara Strategies helps leaders prioritize their strategy and build the story and systems their organization needs to grow without everything running through them.

The Challenge

Growth is exciting. It’s also when what worked before stops working.

Nonprofit leaders reach out to Lancara Strategies when:

  • Fundraising still depends on one person.

  • Board members, staff, and teams struggle to explain what the organization does and why it matters.

  • It’s unclear what to focus on next to survive and thrive.

  • A transition or new phase is exposing risks that need attention.

How We Work Together

Case Study

From Narrative to Asks

Working with an education nonprofit, Lancara led a 12-week messaging refresh and board activation engagement that took the board from knowing the work to owning the ask.

“Lancara didn't hand us a deck and call it a day."

73%

increase in board messaging alignment—from 2.6 to 4.5 out of 5

What Clients Are Saying

"Before working with Lancara, Change The Tune struggled to articulate the depth and dynamism of our work in a way that could resonate across audiences and stakeholders — and most frameworks we'd encountered flattened it. What shifted wasn't just our messaging — it was our capacity. Michelle helped us build the language, confidence, and tools our board could actually use. Lancara felt less like a vendor and more like a thought partner who understood what we were building. That's rare."

About Michelle Lanchart

I founded Lancara Strategies because I kept seeing the same pattern: organizations doing important work, but losing ground to confusion and dependency they can't quite name — often because strategy, narrative, and fundraising still live with one person.

I bring more than ten years of experience across communications, fundraising, operations, and chief-of-staff roles in the nonprofit and education sector. My work combines systems thinking, narrative strategy, and organizational communication. That combination gives me fluency in how decisions get made, where alignment breaks down, and what it takes to move organizations forward.

My PhD in French Literature focused on narrative, language, and how people make sense of complexity. It informs how I help organizations say what they mean — across audiences, contexts, and leadership levels.
